CALHAN
Calhan has a population of approximately 630. Situated about 30 miles from the eastern edge of Colorado Springs, this small town has many amenities including a bank , a grocery store, three gas stations, four restaurants serving a variety of food from classic American to pizza and subs. Other stores include an antique store, a feed store and a hardware store. There are two hair salons and a medical clinic for your health needs. Families enjoy the bowling alley and the local school has approximately 600 students from Preschool through 12th Grade. Cable television is provided within the city limits by Big Sandy Telecom. Calhan is also home to the annual El Paso County Fair. The small airport in Calhan offers a place for the plane enthusiast and parachuting
